why this kolaveri di

why this kolaveri di - why this burning rage????

According to 18-year-old composer Anirudh Ravichandran, the director Aishwarya Rajinikanth Dhanush the wife of the actor Dhanush wanted a simple song about screwed up love. This song is in the tamil movie "3" which is due to be released on 2012.

This song is especially sung as a favourite among the teens in and around mangalore lately. Well since I am an mangalorean this kolaveri has spread itself like a virus here and there. There is one incident which I would like to share, during the christmas carol singing competition where my  class for the first time officially screwed the show (and we are proud of it) as we were waiting for our turn on the stage we were actually singing carols in the kolaveri tune itself, some of the carols were our own. Some of the lyrics were like this:

     kaila gift - wonly english
     handla gift
     giftla friend
     eyes uh fulla tear tear
    empty gift, girl come a
    gift a reverse gear gear
god we are happy now she sad how
this song for class boys a
    we don't have choice

the point is whatever we do we make sure that there is a tinge of kolaveri in it even when we speak our conversations.

Of course how can we forget that this song won't be a hit all over the world?? This song is sung by Dhanush the son-in-law of the great, the one and only "Rajnikanth". Infact he had predicted that this song would be a super duper hit prior to its release. And whatever Rajni says or does we have no choice but to give in. Infact there was an sms

"What publicity Shahrukh managed to get for Ra-One in 3 months,
Kolaveri got it in just 5 Day!
after all…who is DHANUSH?
“RAJNIKANTH’S” Son-in-law…"

"Thank God, Why This Kolaveri Di song was sung by Dhanush. if it was sung by his father in law Rajnikanth, it could have been our national anthem now!"

This virus of Kolaveri has set a burning rage to all the musicians here and there to recreate "Kolaveri" in their style. In mangalore there are two popular versions
  • why this Kele Podi - the konkani version

Also there is a kolaveri sung by AKON, Neevan Nigam(Sono Nigam's son) and alot more. Personally I like the Neevan Nigam's version too.

Yes the lyrics here has been modified a bit, i.e. from the u/a version to the u version.

I am pretty sure that this song will be continued to be hummed by people all over the world for a long time. This is one song which had impressed me a lot (the original version). And as the time passed I started detesting it since I got tired hearing it again and again but yet still I fancy this song once again. So guys have a merry christmas and a new year with the Kolaveri.

laziness is next to godliness…..

yes this is the simple motto in which I live in…

you must’ve heard the saying “cleanliness is next to godliness” when you were young and small. well even I have heard it too and I modified it to “laziness is next to godliness” quite by mistake. But it sounded nice and catchy.

there are people around me who call me very active, smart, quick and a lot of adjectives. but the ground reality is that I am the most laziest person around. what does cleanliness is next to godliness mean? the general meaning is that a person has to be clean and to keep clean around you. Being clean is a sign of spiritual purity or goodness. And the word godliness is used as something positive. Positive in the sense that it will be beneficial to that person.

well according to my “laziness is next to godliness”. the first thing which one should realize the the thing which you might have already guessed in your mind. And that is “BEING LAZY”. And my message to your dear friend is that you are right.

Let me share something with you. You will be amazed to know about my popularity in my college which I had created(not intentionally) in just one month from its commence. My fb profile got atleast 200-250 friend requests from all the Toms and Dicks and Harrys in my college, about half of them whom I have no clue about them. And all this, I had accomplished using my motto which I repeat each and every time “Laziness is next to godliness”!!

I have a mindset (I don’t know about you) that all the growth and development in the world is because of laziness. To quote a few examples
           1. The advent of tall high rise structures: This was done because men were Lazy to build their homes and offices on new land as it would be trouble in laying in the foundation, constructing and the lot. Instead they just put more bricks on a regular building and about a dozen times this process was repeated and voilĂ  a building was invented.
          2. The advent of telephones: This was done because men were seriously Lazy to go and visit their relatives and other contacts who were far away.
          3. The advent of Portable Mobile Telephones: This was done because the telephone was bulky and the inventor, I guess Smile with tongue out wanted to be in touch with his girlfriend where ever he went and also secretly. And also including the reason of carrying a regular telephones everywhere. The stupid wire was damn irritating.

I can give many more such examples such as invention of shoes(didn’t want to treat a leg if it was injured), computers(you probably know this one more than me), internet, Facebook(how can I forget this), smart classes in colleges, vehicles, aeroplanes etc.

The whole point being is that if we restart this lazy attitude once again then I believe the world would be a better place to live in. Yes even the environment problems could be solved if you use this concept creatively.

So the first thing you should do is that believe in yourself especially in your laziness. Then during situations where you are in a fix you can use this concept. So just sit down relax, stop your thoughts, think what would a lazy person do in this situation(except sleeping it and endorsing it to someone else), then you will get a solution and yes it may not be nice but I will give you my guarantee that it would be the best solution and the end result would be in you achieving your results in flying colours.

Get it in your mind. Store it permanently and don’t erase this thought ever. Your have to use this thought in whatever activity you do.

episode - babyland

babyland school was my first school which i had attended. it was almost half a kilometre from my house which was then at attavar, 1st cross. this school was located in nandigudde which was at the other end of my area. For my nursery days, my mom had made arrangements for a auto rickshaw to pick me and drop me to school and vice versa. Babyland was a school which had mainly focused on providing kindergarden and primary level educatation. It was basically a small school with just 5 small class rooms at that time. The school may had a total strength of about 100-120.

the customs of that school was that the students of nursery did not have any uniform as such. but the senior students had to wear a cream color shirt with black shorts/skirts(for girls), a pair of cream socks with 2 black stripes, a bow tie and a badge. This was the uniform. the principal of that school was Mrs. Lily Pereira. Everyone at the school used to call her "madam". Everyone used to be afraid of her.

there used to be regular assemblies at the school. the assemblies used to start by all the students marching to the ground from their respective classes and then used to say the prayer which was also played from a tape. all the students used to sing with the tape. after the prayer we used to mass-drill which comprised of exercises and yet that too the music was coming from the tape and we had to do our exercises along with it. if any of the students were celebrating their birthdays we all used to sing happy birthday and used to start dancing with our partners and the chocolates were shared. after that we all used to march back to our classes.

then the classes used to go on as usual. then came the lunch break, here mom used to pack lunch and used to give it to me when i used to come to school. we used to dine together with all the classes together at a class, that is laying a towel on the floor, opening our tiffin's and eating. Well some of us didn't like the food given by their mother's so when any such situation would develop, then "Hilda aunty" used to come in the picture. Hilda aunt was the caretaker of the school, here caretaker refers to taking care of the children.

After our lunch it was a compulsion to all the students that everyone had to take a nap. My friends group akshay mallya, me, yashaswini, karthik and abdul rahiman hifaz. we hated the sleep hour. So we used to slowly walk away from the class room and go to our original class and play over there. If we used to see any teacher come we used to quickly hide under the benches and desks. Sometimes behind the door itself

I was a very very notorious crook in my school.

my school life...

what my mom tells me is that I cried a lot when my mom dropped me to school for the first time. Of what I remember, I used to be a big pain to the teachers in the kindergarden. My mom used to call me a "hatamari". Any ways I was supposed to go to "babyland" school. the dress code there was that there was no dress code, that is only for the students of Nursery class. My days in the nursery was fun. As to what i can remember. Well what i remember is that My teacher was Suchetha ma'am. SHe was very strict to everyone. Especially on me. we were a class of about 20. And everyday at 9 all the students were to assemble on the ground and thats how the day began. Us nursery students who were in color dress were made to stand on a little higher place and facing all other students. we all had to assemble by marching in a single file from our class to the ground. we used to march for a song and coincidentally that song used to be played on the movie "the bridge on the river kwai". It was a song whistled by the british soldiers while marching and over here at babyland the song is modified by various instruments and it was marched by us tiny tots.
